Recovery

Starting April 11th. Wednesdays from 6:30 – 8:30pm here at Crossroads.

Welcome to the family; a place where you will be accepted for who you are. The atmosphere around here is like a neighborhood or an extended family.  Our biblical mission and goal is to “Love God and Love People.”

Since Jesus has opened an entirely new dimension of life for us, we want to share how that fullness of life has impacted us personally.  The people you will meet and their stories give you an excellent idea about the quality of life Jesus makes available to everyone. In fact, when guests comment on the friendliness of our community, we usually respond by paraphrasing Jesus’ words:

“The one who is forgiven little, loves little.” – Luke 7:47

Simply put, everyone in our community has a past.  We know what it means to have been forgiven lots and that tends to make us eager to express grateful kindness to those around us.  Love covers a multitude of wrongs (1Peter 4:8), and Jesus made it very clear that He came into the world in order to provide hope and love for people like us who have not been able to be as good as we know we should be.

Jesus rescues, forgives, heals, and encourages.  His work in our lives has not been to condemn or shame, but to liberate and to restore.  The ongoing process of following Him paying close attention to what He says to us is best done in company with other folks.  We have lots to learn from one another and we, in turn, can share what we have discovered about the Kingdom of God with other people.
