Beliefs

At Crossroads we are committed to four main things:

1. Reaching out with the Good News that everyone can experience the love and grace of God through His Son Jesus Christ. We believe everyone can and should have a personal relationship with God.

2. Growing every man, woman and child in their faith through the teaching of God’s truth in our main worship services, in our children’s, youth and adult ministries, and in various other special events and gatherings. These deepen the believer and allow them to be well rooted in what they know and believe.

3. Healing those places in our lives that have been damaged by the ravages of sin and the wounds of life. We do this by encouraging each individual to commit themselves to personal growth and deepening relationship with God and others, and through periodic counseling, teaching and events that speak specifically to such needs. In doing so we believe God will untangle those things that, if left unaddressed, will hold us back from the joy and fruitfulness that God wills for them.

4. Releasing every person into the fullness of God’s purpose for their life. By releasing we mean, aiding them in discovering and actively pursuing their God ordained purpose and cultivating a fruitful, reproducing life.

We see this pattern of life and ministry outlined in the bible (Mark 4) where Jesus teachs what is called the Parable of the Soils. Here Jesus speaks of seed sown and that lands in four distinct kinds of ground: The Hard Ground, The Stony Ground, The Thorny Ground, The Good Ground. From this we see our four assignments as a church which are outlined above but are also stated in the following way. Our mission as a church is to:

1 – Break Up the hard ground, that life may come.

2 – Take Up the limiting stones, that depth may come.

3 – Weed Out, the things that choke life, that freedom may come.

4 – Move Out, into God purpose, that fruitfulness and fulfillment may come.

Break Up > Take Up > Weed Out > Move Out
